Our state-of-the-art CT scanner produces fast, multi-dimensional, detailed images of the brain, heart, spine, blood vessels, and all other body areas such as the abdomen, pelvis and joints. Contrast media can be used to further enhance images. Call 507-665-8679.

MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a test that uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio wave energy to make pictures of organs and structures inside the body. In many cases MRI gives different information about structures in the body than can be seen with an X-ray, ultrasound, or CT scan.

Through a partnership with Shared Medical Services, a new mobile MRI unit travels to Le Sueur on Fridays.  The MRI system from GE Healthcare delivers some of the highest quality images on the market today.  The advanced technology provides shorter exams and greater comfort for patients. The new Friday schedule allows for appointments to begin as early as 6:30 a.m. Call 507-665-8679.

Echocardiograms

An echocardiogram is a painless test that uses sound waves to create pictures of your heart. This test gives your doctor information about the size and shape of your heart and shows how well your heart's chambers and valves are working. Your doctor may recommend an echocardiogram if you have signs and symptoms of heart problems. The test can be used to confirm a diagnosis, determine the status of an existing problem, or help guide treatment.

  • Echocardiograms are performed every other Tuesday by appointment only.
  • Testing is done in partnership with the Minneapolis Heart Institute, which is recognized internationally as one of the world's leading heart institutes.
  • Results are forwarded to your primary physician.
