First Farmers and Merchants Bank Advisory Board of Directors makes contribution to Minnesota Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation
from the Le Sueur News Herald, 1/6/16
Every year at this time First Farmers and Merchants Bank reinforces its commitment to the community by making a $1,000 contribution in the name of its Advisory Board of Directors. This year’s contribution will be given to Minnesota Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation. The Minnesota Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation supports the operations of Minnesota Valley Health Center (MVHC) in Le Sueur.
MVHC was established in 1959. The facility includes a critical access hospital with 24 hour emergency services, an outpatient specialty clinic, radiology and laboratory services, a 55 bed 5-star nursing home offering long term care and short term rehabilitation services, and Sunrise Plaza independent living apartments. Mayo Clinic Health System operates a family practice clinic on site.
The Minnesota Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation is made up of community members who value the continued success of Minnesota Valley Health Center and recognize the importance of high quality health care in our community. Outgoing President Paul Borchert (pictured) served as president of the Foundation for 17 years. Randy Baum is the new president of the Foundation, and he also serves as the MVHC Board of Directors Chairperson. “Donations like this one from the First Farmers and Merchants Bank Advisory Board of Directors are greatly appreciated in continuing to support health care in our community,” said Baum.
The members of the First Farmers and Merchants Bank Advisory Board of Directors are Jack King, Dan LaBelle, Al Muehlhausen, Tom Tellijohn, John Pioske, and Trish Townsdin.
